We were on a trip which started at Four Seasons Madrid, included Six Senses Duoro Valley and ended with Four Seasons in Lisbon. Our arrival at Albar started off badly as my wife was not at all satisfied with the room. But, our visit ended up with the hotel telling my wife that she was one of the best customers they had ever had. This hotel has a very good restaurant which we tried and was really excellent, The Yakuza restaurant next door is equally good and rivals many similar restaurants in London. I would suggest that this is a beginner 5 star hotel - but they pulled themselves up and greatly exceeded our expectations to equal established ore well known brands. It is amazing to see the care that a hotel can take of its guests when it is required. It ended with us being very very happy with the staff and the stay. definitely would go again if everything stays at this level.
